![]() The principle of Sanda University is to faithfully follow the guidelines set up by the state for developing the country through enhancing education, science and technology, and to persist in its non-profit orientation. It has been one of the very few strictly insisting on non-profit purposes among over six hundred private institutions of higher learning in China. Sanda sticks to the fine traditions of the Chinese nation and, at the same time, seeks to introduce advanced foreign concepts and practices important in the development of higher education. It attaches great importance to quality education and is open to suggestions and criticisms from its faculty, staff and students, so as to ensure that initiatives from all sectors receive due consideration. The students of Sanda are encouraged to become professionals with a sound moral grounding and to carry forward fine Chinese traditions with a sense of global responsibility, to be accountable to both themselves and society, and to meet the needs of enhancing social civilization and developing the economy. Sanda University, in its practice of the past fifteen years, has upheld its maxim of "Treating the society with sincerity and honesty, convincing the society with rigorous administration and repaying the society by turning out qualified graduates," and thus established and consolidated its good reputation. Sanda insists on recruiting both full-time and part-time teachers who have worthy educational backgrounds and appropriate expertise and is determined to place quality education at the top of its agenda. It is Sanda's ambition to gain recognition as a private university of influence in and outside the country in the years to come.
