Mr. Zengtai Zhang, Vice President of Sanda University, and his party visited City University of Macaw, aiming at Sanda’s effort in strengthening the contact and cooperation between Sanda university and the universities in Macao, and were warmly received by Dr. Shuguang Zhang, President of City University of Macaw. Both sides conducted cordial and friendly exchanges, and confirmed each other to continue to strengthen cooperation, and reached a series of consensus of understanding.

Prof. Zengtai Zhang, at the meeting, introduced the history and development of Sanda University and expressed his wish to learn from Macao City University and his willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. Dr. Shuguang Zhang expressed his appreciation for the Sanda’s persistence in the education concept of being non-profit in running the institution and the achievements in the institutional development. He also expressed his willingness to carry out further cooperation and exchange with Sanda University, and jointly promote the development of our institutions.


The both sides agreed to further strengthen the pragmatic and win-win two-way cooperation focusing on faculty training, further studies of students, collaborative research and other aspects in the near futhure.


        East Asia University, the predecessor of City University of Macaw, was established in 1981, and renamed to the present name in February of 2011. It is a comprehensive institution of higher learning situated on the highest elevation in Macaw, regarded as an ideal institution for academic study and scientific research. The university has eight colleges: College of International Tourism and Management, College of Social Science and Humanities, College of Education, College of City Management, College of Law, Open College and College of Continuing Education, offering 31 fields of studies and conferring 7 bachelor’s degrees, 9 Master’s Degrees and 6 Ph.D. degrees. Most influential and attractive courses include both BA and MA degrees courses in International Hospitality and Tourism Management, both BA and MA degrees courses in Service Industry Management, BA degree courses in Design Art,BA degree courses in Social Work, MA and PH.D. degree courses in Applied Psychology, the courses for specialized professional certificate in Senior Financial Planning Consultant (PCFC “EP’), and professional degree courses in Financial Planning Consultant (PDFC).The university will expand doctoral programs in the fields of Data Science and Finance.
